Thursday - Things are Calming Down

Howdy Guys and Gals,

I do have some good news to report and that is that several of the persons forced to evacuate their homes over the past 5 days have now been issued opportunities in larger numbers to return to their communities. Many of these temporarily displaced persons and pets would be able to go back to the comforts of their homes, while a minority of them would only be retuning to piles of rubble and shattered memories and lost dreams.
This is a time of transition and one in which we all have to be thankful to Almighty for the gifts that he has bestowed us with and the most precious of all, our lives and those of our family, friends neighbors and strangers who have all miraculously come together to help each other out during this undesirable and devastating time.

Now that the flames are literally cooling and more of the blazing fires under control or at least in the containment process, things are surely looking brighter for many Southern Californians compared to just days ago when even the most elite of town were in no better condition than those of lesser stature. These disasters and tragedies appear to be a symbol for each of us to take to our hearts and learn from. Some of us will learn and react in a kind, caring and giving nature, while others sit back and look for people to blame and reasons why these fires were allowed to burn so terribly.
Those seeking to file suits and make a mockery of the already financially deprived city of San Diego and its unincorporated parts will surface- when the truth in all of this sorrow is that people are not perfect and mistakes in handling the issue can happen and we know in our hearts and based on all the news/ media coverage that the necessary state and local authorities have done as much as humanly possibly to bring these fires to an end as promptly as possible. All we can hope for at this time is that we learn from these fires more than what we learned in 2003 from the Cedar fire and try our best to ensure that even more effective and efficient action is mechanisms are in place to respond and mitigate the situation.

As for what I am wearing today.... very simple, I selected this simple dress in my usual color of black. This one is similar in design to 2 other dresses that I bought on the Rampage Brand from Macy's. The difference in this one is that it has a net batting under the dress and instead of ribbon strings for the halter top, it has material - same as the dress being used as the straps along with a slightly different pattern of bead work on the top. With this one I wore a classic pair of black heels and my white gold chain and white gold and diamond earrings to compliment the look.

Now- you know what time it is? So get back to work already.
Ciao!
